Universal Timber Slab is a three-year project that aims to develop design, construction and fabrication methods for an affordable and sustainable timber building system. The objective is to enable point-supported reinforced concrete slabs to be effectively replaced, particularly in urban environments.

As part of the interdisciplinary team, the IABP is working on various building physics issues. For example, how modern simulation methods can be used to improve sound insulation and ensure adequate moisture protection. Effective strategies are incorporated into an AI-based intelligent system at all stages of the interdisciplinary planning and design process.
