Symposium Climate and Culture responsive Building

at the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics IBP

On October 18, 2019, the symposium Climate and Culture responsive Building took place. The event, organized by the Institute for Acoustics and Building Physics at the University of Stuttgart, the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics IBP and the Technical University of Munich, was dedicated to the importance, characteristics and specific implementations of a climate and culture responsive design of the built environment.

The symposium offered the more than 130 participants from industry, business and science an interdisciplinary exchange and transfer of knowledge. Contributions from different perspectives highlighted current societal challenges and showed proposed solutions through a climate and culture responsive design of the (built) environment, which can be understood and pursued as impulses for research, development and education.
